Beth Hoch

Director of Early Childhood

Beth has been in the field of early childhood education for 25 years. She became a Jewish Early Childhood Director in our community in 2012 and came to the Sherman ECC in 2016. Prior to directing, Beth spent thirteen years teaching and later serving as an administrator in early childhood education in the Plano, Texas public schools.

Beth has a passion for Jewish early childhood education and creating an environment where children are growing and challenged. Beth feels parents are partners and that we work together in the classroom, at home, and in the synagogue to nurture each child and help them grow cognitively, socially, physically, and spiritually through a variety of learning experiences.

Active members of the Har Shalom community, Beth and her husband Gerry have two wonderful boys, Noah and Ari. She has a BA in Social Work from the University of Kansas and teaching certifications from Texas A&M in Early Childhood-4th grade, English as a Second Language, and K-12th Special Education

Mekenzie Kruger
Assistant Director

Mekenzie has been an early childhood educator since 2013. She graduated from Bank Street College of Education with a Masters of Science in Early Childhood Special Education. As a graduate from a Jewish Day School, she always makes sure to tie in Judaics into all her classroom experiences, especially through music. Mekenzie believes that every child matters and it is important that we teach them to meet their needs as they are our future. She is very excited to be on the team at the Sherman ECC.

Sandi Eisig
STEAM Teacher

Sandi has been an early childhood teacher for over 20 years. In 2017 she took her passion for science and discovery and created our incredible STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math) program. Giving children the opportunity to wonder, explore and ask questions is what her classroom is all about.  Sandi sees herself as a lifelong learner and is always discovering new materials to bring to the children. She has three grown children and loves getting together as a family. We are so proud of our STEAM program and what Sandi has created for the Sherman ECC!
